At a glance

SkillProof in brief

SkillProof Sessions connects scheduled staff training, bookings, attendance and permitted completion proof to the records an organisation already manages.

Who it is for

  • Training and compliance administrators scheduling group training
  • Managers booking staff and checking attendance
  • UK organisations replacing calendar, inbox and spreadsheet hand-offs

What it tracks

  • Session dates, trainers, delivery method and capacity
  • Invitations, controlled bookings and cancellations
  • Full, partial and missed attendance plus trainer outcomes

Scope and boundaries

  • Online Sessions use an external meeting link; SkillProof does not host the meeting
  • Calendar invitations are not two-way Google or Microsoft calendar synchronisation
  • Attendance affects completion only where the Session Type or Pathway permits it

Why organisations replace spreadsheets

A spreadsheet can list dates and attendees, but it does not reliably connect invitations, capacity, attendance and completion proof to the current staff training record.

Training and LMS context

SkillProof connects scheduled delivery and its proof to the workforce record. Sessions does not host virtual meetings; native course authoring and learner delivery sit in Learning.

What changes with SkillProof

Can you trace a scheduled training event from audience and booking through attendance to the permitted staff-record outcome?

Scheduled delivery

Keep the event, the register and the training record connected

Manage the people and places for each Session, then retain attendance and permitted outcomes against the record they support.

  1. Create a reusable Session Type and link the training item or Pathway step where needed.

  2. Choose how qualifying attendance or a trainer outcome can affect completion.

  3. Schedule the date, trainer, delivery method, audience and capacity.

  4. Invite or book relevant staff and send calendar-compatible details.

What this workflow covers

SkillProof Sessions manages the operational record around scheduled training: Session Types, dates, trainers, audiences, invitations, authenticated sign-up links and QR codes from Growth, bookings, capacity, waitlists, attendance and trainer outcomes. Staff must sign in and pass the configured audience and booking rules. Attendance only updates a completion or Pathway where the configured Session Type permits it. Sessions does not host virtual meetings or prove competence by attendance alone; native course delivery sits in Learning.

Can you trace delivery into the staff record?

  • Who was actually invited and booked?

Email threads and calendar entries make it difficult to distinguish invitations, confirmed places and cancellations.

  • Is capacity under control?

Separate booking lists create overbooking, unused places and waitlists that nobody owns.

  • Did attendance create the right outcome?

A signed register can remain detached from the person, requirement and evidence it was meant to support.

Connect the event to its permitted outcome

  • Configure and schedule the Session

Use a reusable Session Type, trainer, audience, capacity and external meeting details where relevant.

  • Manage places and attendance

Track invitations, authenticated sign-up links or QR codes, controlled self-booking, cancellations, capacity, waitlist and the final register.

  • Record the trainer outcome

Link attendance and permitted completion proof to the relevant record without treating attendance as competence.

Questions about Training Sessions

The key points teams usually need before choosing this workflow.

What is training session management software?

Training session management software keeps scheduled events, invited or booked staff, capacity, attendance and outcomes together. SkillProof connects that delivery record to the training records the organisation already manages.

Can SkillProof manage in-person and online training sessions?

Yes. Sessions can be in person, online, hybrid or delivered by an external provider. For online delivery, the organisation adds its own meeting link; SkillProof does not host the meeting.

Can staff book themselves onto a training session?

Yes, where self-booking is enabled and the staff member is within the Session audience. An administrator or permitted manager can also invite or book staff.

Can we share a Session sign-up QR code?

Yes, from Growth. The QR code opens an authenticated sign-up route; it does not make the Session public. The staff member must sign in and still pass the audience, capacity, booking-status and self-booking checks.
